A year ago we gave a home to another rescue Boxer dog who has spent the first year of his life mostly confined to a utility room. Needless to say when he was given the run of the garden he . . . went berserk!
It's impossible to describe in detail how much damage he has done so I will try and take some photographs to post. Suffice it to say my plastic greenhouse, which has survived the worst of the winter weather, was finally terminated in early march by a mad charge straight through it. The fencing around my veg plot, lovingly erected to deter Boxer dogs was all wrecked even before the winter started. And my carefully stacked tree cuttings from the Autumn are now strewn all around the garden. Branches make great toys and are wonderful to chew!
In the immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back". Just not this year. This summer is going to be taken up with repairing and cleaning up . . . and some replanting of destroyed shrubs!
